Graduate Students Help The Up Center

Regent University students raised nearly $4,000 for The Up Center through its Focus on the Children event held in November. The event included the sale of art created by foster children, along with a 5K run around the campus. Coordinator Brook Bialke said their activities helped increase awareness about foster care and adoption.

In our nation, there are over 500,000 children waiting to be adopted. In Hampton Roads alone, there are hundreds of children who have been separated from their families and need permanency in a loving family.

The Up Center helps parents adopt children through a foster-to-adopt program. It is free of charge to adopt through the agency. Please visit our adoption and foster care services pages for more information.
