Day Support Program A newly renovated 5462-square foot facility on Tidewater Drive in Norfolk serves as the site for The Up Center's Individuals & Opportunities Day Support Program. The program provides a supportive and therapeutic environment for adults with moderate to severe intellectual and physical disabilities. Our staff plans daytime activities, including art and exercise, computer use training, and regular community trips. The program also offers temporary slots over the summer from mid-June until Labor Day for high school students ages 18 and older, who need a summer day placement. Interested parties must either have an ID (intellectual disability) waiver or a DD (developmental disability) waiver. For further information, please contact our Day Support Program Manager at 757-965-8693. A participant in the Day Support Program enjoys feeding the fish with two staff members (shown right). |
